WHAT IS 3V3 SOCCER?
3v3 Soccer is claimed to be the fastest growing form of soccer in the World. Its greatest popularity is in the United States,
where hundreds, and perhaps thousands of Tournaments take place each year, however it is also played in many other
countries.
It is a much faster paced, and higher scoring game than traditional full sided soccer. The speed of the attack, the use of
triangulation, and the strategies bring aspects of Hockey into the game. The quick shift from one end of the field to the other
after a goal is scored, or upon loss of possession is reminiscent of Basketball. It requires the blending of individual skills with
teamwork.
It's gain in popularity is largely due to every member of the team gets equal playing time, and equal touches on the ball. All
players on the field are a part of the play. Because of the speed of the game, and the fact that players are constantly in motion,
there are frequent substitutions. A typical player may be rotated on six times or more in one game. There are no permanently
assigned positions as there are in full-sided soccer, giving each team member equal status and equal importance. This helps to
develop individual skills.

WHAT IS THE TEAM FEE?
● Co-Ed Adult Tournament (for teams of 3 minimum and 6 maximum): $100 (‘bicycle-kick’ price ends May 10th) | $125
(‘volley-kick’ price ends May 31st) | $150 (‘diving-header’ price ends June 21st)
● U11 Co-Ed Youth tournament (for teams of 3 minimum and 6 maximum): $50 (‘bicycle-kick’ price ends May 10th)
● Individual sign up cost: $35 (‘bicycle-kick’ price ends May 10th) | $40 (‘volley-kick’ price ends May 31st) | $50
(‘diving-header’ price ends June 21st)

WHAT DOES THE WINNING TEAM GET?

Adult Co-Ed Tournament
● $300 Check made out to the team manager (contact)
● 16 Mile Beer Bottle Trophy
● One mixed case of 16 Mile beer (for those over 21 with ID)
● One 64oz growler fill of Specialty Beer (for those over 21 with ID)
● $2 16 Mile Core Beers for the Week of July 1st-6th (maximum the winning team of 6 players) (for those over 21 with ID)
● Bragging Rights

U11 Co-Ed Tournament
● $150 Check made out to the team manager (contact)

WHAT TIME DOES THE TOURNAMENT START?
● U11 tournament will begin at 9am, final will be at 11:30pm.
● Adult co-ed tournament will begin at 12pm, final will be at 7:30pm.

HOW MANY GAMES IS YOUR TEAM GUARANTEED?
● Every team will be guaranteed 3 games.
● Most teams will play 4-5 games if they make the playoffs/finals.

HOW LONG ARE THE GAMES?
Games will be 15 min long for u11 tournament and 20 minutes long for Adult co-ed tournament - with 5 minute
halftime.

HOW MANY PLAYERS CAN BE ON A TEAM AND TEAM MAKE-UP?
● Co-ed teams are encouraged but not required.
● Teams may roster up to 6 players maximum per team.
● Individual registration is available and you will be placed on a house team with other individual registrants.

WHAT DO WE WEAR?
● Team uniforms are encouraged, however training bibs will be provided for games if needed.

WHAT IS THE POINT STRUCTURE?
● Teams will be awarded 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss.
● The top two teams after the group stage of games will play in the final, the others in play-off games
